Caves can provide an interesting destination for hikes. Caves may
appear along the trail for more traditional hikes, or they may be
destinations reached through a hike. Several larger caverns, or
systems of caverns, in various parts of the united states are tourist
attractions unto themselves, and have been commercialized.
